Capitol Update: Dems' bid to ban capital punishment is 'terribly misguided'

Coloradans' confidence in capital punishment is well-founded, and the latest attempt by ruling legislative Democrats to scrap this ultimate criminal deterrent has raised an outcry among leaders in law enforcement, says Douglas County Republican Sen. Mark Scheffel in a new YouTube video released today. Scheffel notes in the video that the pending proposal to ban the death penalty, House Bill 1274, comes on the heels of an attempt by Democrats to slash criminal sentences on a wide range of felonies and misdemeanors.
