2013
Today, Senate President John Morse (D-Colorado Springs) and Minority Leader Bill Cadman (R-Colorado Springs) congratulated Senator Kent Lambert (R-Colorado Springs) on his nomination by the Governor’s Office of Information Technology to receive the 2013 National State Chief Information Officer (NASCIO) Technology Champion Award.
“I’m very honored to be able to help the state on critical information systems and data issues,” Lambert said. “Transparency and protection of our information from criminal and foreign attack are essential to efficiency, cost savings and personal privacy.”
“The Colorado Senate is fortunate to have a diverse team of Senators,” said Senate President John Morse. “Senator Kent Lambert’s background in Information Technology significantly adds to that diversity. He readily uses the skills he learned while serving in the U.S. Air Force to make government more accessible, transparent, and efficient. Most notably, he helps keep the Senate forward-moving with 21st century technology. I support his nomination for NASCIO Technology Champion award -- it is certainly well deserved.”
“Kent Lambert has proven himself to be a leader in the information technology field,” Senator Bill Cadman said. “He is committed to instituting sound policies so that government agencies are more streamlined, effective and responsive to constituents concerns. We need more leaders like him.”
NASCIO’s mission is to foster government excellence through quality business practices, information management, and technology policy. Founded in 1969, the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 association representing state chief information officers and information technology executives and managers from the states, territories, and the District of Columbia.
