Harvey Blasts D.C. Union Boss During Visit to Colorado

Today State Senator Ted Harvey, R-Highlands Ranch, sent a letter to AFL-CIO union boss Randi Weingarten expressing his solidarity for those teachers, parents and school district leaders in Douglas County who recently voted to cut ties with the American Federation of Teachers union. He also questioned the AFL-CIO’s overreaching union tactics intended to intimidate teachers and school districts across the country.
“It is an outrage to see what happened with the unions in Chicago. We need to ensure that something like that never happens in Colorado,” stated Harvey.” On the issue of school reform Ms. Weingarten and her union are decidedly on the wrong side of history.”
